HISTORY

This is my Primary camera at the moment. A Canon EOS Elan 7 35mm with a Tamron 28 - 300 mm F3.5 lens. The camera and lens combination continue to surprise me on a regular basis, considering I learn to shoot with and old Uniflex I.

I purchased this camera in December of 2000, and have taken over 1000 photographs with in it in the first year alone. The main reason for choosing the platform, was that I wanted to be lens compatibility with my photography partner. A wise choice for me since he already has a lot of equipment that I don't need to purchse.

However, I really like this camera. I like the way that it feels, its balance and ergonomics. The Elan 7 has automatic everything, however I have learned that in order to maintain absolute control, I turn off most of the automatic stuff, except for the light meter of coarse. If this camera takes a bad image, it is because the user was left in full automatic idiot mode.
