My primary goal for starting to take photographs again, was to "unplug" a bit from the computer industry in which I earn my living. It is a priority for me, that when I can travel, I will travel around the country looking for remote locations that get absolutely no cell phone coverage. For many reasons, I use a 35mm Canon EOS Elan 7 film camera, or a medium format Hasselblad 1000F, and do not plan on using digital camera technology any time soon. The reason for this is simple. Although digital images have come a long way, working with digital cameras is just a little too close to work for me at the moment, and the camera that I want has not yet been invented for a price that I am willing to pay. In time, I will probably eventually switch to digital, but that is in the future. All the images that I have posted on this site, have been scanned by computer, but are only color balanced to closely match the original negative, and not significantly altered in any other way. I have not done any post production to enhance any image on this site. The stand on their own, which is my intent. My goal is to create photographs that are pleasing to me. I am interested in catching fleeting moments in time, and to perhaps slightly bend time and light to create something a new.
