Site Information and Design

SERVER: My web server was built, and maintained by me. The server is a AMD Duo core 64bit, 3 GHz computer with 2 GB of RAM. For Many reasons, I am using SuSE Linux on my server. The main reason, is that the server software is completely free, offers better security and features. More importantly to me, is that the teams or programmer that are working on the platform are building a better product in my opinion.

I am using MySQL and PHP to run the database backend. I use these two technologies for the same reasons I mentioned above. I would really like to point out that if I saved thousands of dollars in licesing costs by using these technologies. They are certainly not the only game in town, but certainly a very solid option.

TOOLS: I use Fireworks to build, and compress all of my artwork. All my layout is done with DreamWeaver, although the way that I use DreamWeaver, it is not much more than a glorified FTP client.

DESIGN: All of the design and layout of the site was developed by your truely. Although I consulted with many friends and family members for ideas and philosophy. I wrote the gallery engine, and news engine by myself. Both engines are being used by others. A true compliment. Every page, feature and function was coded by me, with the exception of the sitemap.
